Commitment to
Character

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on a promise to serve not only one another but the greater community as well. This commitment reflects a philosophy of friendship, concern, and usefulness in the world.

Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Commitment to
College Loyalty

From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain.

Letter from the President

Welcome to the Tau Gamma chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi! On this site, you can learn more about our philanthropic events, sisterhoods, and other fun chapter activities! We have various sisterhood activities where we grow together, and create lifelong bonds and memories. One of the main philanthropy events we hold is called Spike-Out Arthritis, which is an annually-held volleyball match and all the donations are given to the Arthritis Foundation. This year we switched it up a bit and held an event called Smash-Out Arthritis which was our very first AOII Rage Room! It was super fun and definitely something to check out next year if you missed it. We also connect with local organizations and participate in Sisters for Soldiers, where we write letters to acting soldiers in our country. Our chapter loves to not only support our own philanthropies but other philanthropies on campus as well. We are always willing to lend a hand or participate as donators.

When I joined Alpha Omicron Pi during my first year at Eastern Washington University, I immediately felt at home with my Tau Gamma sisters. Covid was a hard time for everyone, but I was so glad to have my sisters around to help push through. Any time I need something, whether it’s a ride to Zips, or help with tough math homework, there is always someone volunteering to help. That is what I love the most about this wonderful chapter. We have a sisterhood that is unmatched and continues to blossom. I hope to see you around!

Roses,
